A festival committed to the exhibition of media exploring issues confronting communities (human, civil and economic rights, health issues, cultural and social norms, family life, politics, the environment, the law, individualism, social movements, the arts as a vehicle for cultural expression) and bringing them to audiences who can benefit from the dialogue such work inspires.

WHAT: The 4th Annual Wilmington Independent Film Festival is adopting the title Hearts and Minds Film as well as an agenda of social consciousness raising films and companion programming. It will feature an exciting combination of screenings of new independent work as well as known films, themed ?Conversations? with filmmakers and scholars, daytime block programming serving community audiences, great parties and special events for children and youth.

WHO: The City of Wilmington, Mayor?s Office of Cultural Affairs & Cityfest, Inc. in collaboration with local nonprofit media organization Serviam Media, and partnerships with other local service agencies and sponsoring companies. This is an event by the community, for the community.

WHERE: Multiple venues in Downtown Wilmington, Delaware and its Riverfront.

WHEN: Ticket sales and Film Office opens in mid-February.
The festival will run from Wednesday, March 2 to Sunday, March 6!

WHY: To inform, inspire, empower and (most of all) entertain the people of Wilmington, DE and beyond.
