for more than a brief amount of time.
Is this an accurate statement? Can your eyes be damaged if one looks at the sun through the viewfinder of a Super-8 Camera.
Does it matter whether the camera is in wide angle or telephoto as to how long you can look at the sun?

When you say "are you serious", do you mean "are you serious you can't be that stupid!", or, "Are you serious, I did not know that!

I think its just common sense. You can look at it through the viewfinder for a brief shot but if you sit there for 3 hours then I don't not think it would be good for your balls

I wouldn't do it...while the viewfinder might cut down on part of the light, you're still in danger of burning your retinas from that very strong sunlight. It's not worth losing the beauty of watching Kodachrome ! mike

Maybe this could be a country music song...
Hey! Don't look Through your Super-8 Camera at the Sun...
Unless you've got Neutral Density, it's clear to me...
