I've recently learned that if a lab scratches your Super-8 negative film stock, that the scratch can be greatly minimized.
This is both good news and bad news. It's good news because the footage can in many instances be saved for purposes of transfering from film to video, but it's bad news because it still means the original film negative is scratched.
