I have many ideas for short and feature length films and want to start to make a showreel. But I don't know how to go about getting my short film ideas on to camera. Is there any film clubs or societies or anybody that can point me in the right direction?!

You'll not get to try out many of your ideas if you head for a club, I know this from personal exsperiences. Instead try to pick up a small regular camera for about ?200 and your away - the equipment is easy to get hold of - so then you work with your camera and equipment to make some flashy effects which interest possible actors. Thats how I'm doin it - and the more movies I make the more actors and exspereince I get. Working the way up
