how to start writing a storyline

i have joined this site just now
i am interested in film making
please tell me how to start writing stories and screenplay
for film :bat:

Heres a tip on making stories: First of all, you
could just take a minute to look around at your surroundings. Then maybe you see an old mirror,
you could start the story by using that object; Thats what I do sometimes if I cant think of what
to write about.

What is your educational background? have you written stories before?

Writing for the screen is not much different - you have to visualize what will happen on the screen and then write a colum fo raction and one for dialog simultaneously.
