Any Super 8 filmmakers in the Dallas area?

I'm in the North Dallas area, and I was wondering if there was anyone else in the area that might be able to give me ideas about shopping for Super 8 supplies in the area, or if there are any Dallas Super 8 "support groups"? (it's some kind of addiction) Thanks!

Hey, I would think you could find a few folks in your area. Dallas is a full size city and there is a transfer place there that does S8. I spend some time there one or twice a year visiting friends and bought a bolex at a used camera store back in March or April. Maybe you will be a pioneer in getting S8 really going there. Get a film festival on and put up flyers at the art schools that do film classes and at that transfer house.

Another Dallas Super-8 filmmaker, checking in... just figuratively blew the dust off my Beaulieu 5008 for a slightly experimental project that mixed S8 and DVCam footage.

Tell me more about this Dallas transfer house... that's news to me. I just got finished using Super-8 Sound in Burbank (great service, oddly enough, but I'm less than thrilled with the quality of the stock and transfer)...
