Thread: Does re-rendering cause a drop in quality?

    Did a simple test:

    Took a 15 sec no compressed clip onto the AP 4.0 MAC clipboard and made a DV-PAL movie.

    Next I put this film on the clip board and made another identical DV-PAL movie out of that.

    The DV-PAL file sizes came out 100% identical which should indicate that no further compression was added.

    Ah thanks for the clarification - I think I can lay the blame fairly squarely at the cropping and jitter correction filters - but there's nothing I can do about them
