having read the rules and looked at the sponsors it's obvious to me that this "competition" has a pre-approved producer and therefore it's highly likely the director is already known to them. another grass-roots scam in order to have a built-in audience upon release.

anyone care to disagree with me?

I entered a short film I did a while a go, nothing special and don't expect to win.

However, the process of this leaves me to beleive that in terms of the creative process and power, the director will have very little since it is the Myspace members who will be choosing what happens etc.
