Sorry about all the topics but I have a problem with the bullet hit thing on the main exposure website.
Everyone knows about that compressed gas bullet hit thing?
I tried it once and it only worked twice.
It seems like not enough pressure but I followed every single direction and even had the same insecticide sprayer. What could have gone wrong?

i had this problem you probably have enough pressure but the seal on the end of the pipe isn't good enough so check your piping!

I used it for a headshot but had an extra blowing into the hose instead of a sprayer. Worked a treat but I had to paint the extra out of frigging 150 frames. Next time I will make sure I tape the hose to the guy and have the extra lie on the floor so he doesn't protrude the shot.

    Works every time for me.

    Gwailo's top tips:-

Pump the sprayer thingy until it can be pumped no more. If your arms get tired, pass it around the crew; you can bet that big grip'll get an extra couple of pumps out of it.

When bunding the hole on the end of the tubing, use a big-ass lump of blu-tack. I mean absolutely cram it. The more there is, the less chance there is of it flying out of the end.

When it comes to bunging the side-hole, first: always make sure it's a red sponge (trust me, blue looks silly forums ). Second: wrap the little bit of sponge in clingfilm. It stops the blood in the tube saturating the sponge and prematurely leaking into the actor's clothes.

Finally, tape the end of the hose to to the sprayer (mmmm... gaffer tape...). Stops it popping off and dribbling the blood down your actor's back when you pull the trigger.
