Me? Pirate software? With my reputation?

In reply to the lost project, that's life. That's also why there's a market for professionals.

I have been using Adobe premiere 5.1c for a while now. The main difference with 5.1 and 4.2 is many of the little kinks have been worked out. I know that exporting is more efficient as well. Also, the look of the workstation is different too. The 5.1 includes a few more transitions and effects.

The most important thing is the capability of your computer and your own creativity. Sounds like your computer will do fine.
