Has anyone any comments on this card, I'm considering buying one, I heard it can render to broadcast quality?

    Cheers

    Wink

There's also a new card dc500 (I think it's called), it also had DV onboard, but I don't know how it fares against the dc30pro, there both in the same price range.....

I use the DC30 plus (which I think is the UK version of the DC30 Pro). Whether it's the best for you or not depends on what you want to do with it. The DC30 does not have a digital in/out, it only has analogue connections, so if you're planning to work purely with digital camcorders and mastering back to DV, it may not be the card for you.

I bought it because I have a lot of old footage from analogue camcorders I wanted to work with, so it's fine for me. Quality-wise, it CAN capture footage at broadcast resolution, via an S-Video socket.
