Despin, he doesn't need a web designer to go over the site tho. Someone here im sure could make Chance a perfectly adequete and more professional looking site for free.

Hey there.
The thread evolved man get over it. It started with your original question (I know nobody has helped yet and it can be annoying) but it moved on to the fact that your site looks lame. We didnt know you had some alcaholic web worrior waiting in the wings to knock it into shape. A few times you have asked us to have a goosy at your site and I just assumed your were gonna be the designer.
Now as the other guy said. When people look at the site they are gonna look at the crapy design and think "well if this is all he can do on a web site. I aint got much hope for the finished movie."
Now I have no experiance of film making with a budget like yours. But I just thought out of 25 grand you would wanna put a few quid into good promotion of your work. Of course when I said what I said I didnt know about you were just waiting untill you were "happy with the context". How could I? I assumed this was gonna be the look of the site half finished or not.
Now for you to go off on one moaning about communication skills.
I just find it funny.

Yes, it is in English that you said you had a webdesigner friend coming. Read my post and tell me where I acted like I didn't understand that. My post was directed at wageslave, who seemed to have a great personal problem with someone suggesting you snazz up your site. He said "He's a filmmaker not a webdesigner!" as if the two were somehow mutually exclusive. I merely tried to make the point they were not, because I myself can do both. I don't see why you got so personally upset I was correcting someone who was clearly not you, as I used wageslave's name twice.

Mods, he didn't have a point. That 200 quid would be an investment, because when I look at a site like that I assume the film will be of the same caliber. In this 'net marketing age, you have to have just as professional a site as you do a movie, or no one will take you seriously.
And for the record, I'm a filmmaker AND a webdesigner, wageslave, so it's not so far fetched.
