That sounds about as cheap as they get.

I think you can rent domain names for next to nothing.

We used freenetname (.co.uk) for our website. It costs nothing, you get to chose a pretty cool name and you get emails and stuff though it. You have to sign up with their ISP and it costs when you launch your site and edit it, and when you collect emails, but you can use the other one when generally on the net. Visit our site:

First of all, you don't NEED to pay for a domain!
You gan get a free domain from loads of places.

For example: http://www.freeserve.com give you a free domain.
It would be in the form of:
    yourname.freeserve.co.uk

This would then let you have totally free internet access and domain (Pay for the calls, though).

If you don't like the domain, then look at: http://go.to

There you can choose a re-direction AURL that would look something like: http://go.to/littlerich (My website)

If you want web space, try fortunecity, ( http://www.fortunecity.com ), they give you a generous 20MB of space, but a crap domain, such as: http://campus.fortunecity.com/geography/780 (Mine), and they splash banners all over the place.

Try looking around, because you can get a decent sounding name, such as www.mydomain.somethingrelated.com

It's all a case of looking!

USE www.namezero.com THEY GIVE YOU AN ACTUAL .com .net or .org name that redirects to your site wherever it is hosted... ..the catch--they make you display a banner on your site BUT if you have the domain redirect you to a page with HTML code telling the browser to goto your actual page, you can break out of the banner and it looks just like your page and that's it. If you don't understand, e-mail me
