<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Are you saying there is no ambiguity in film? Depends on the film. I'm not sure what the 'choice' thing has to do with it anyway - it actually has nothing to do with it.

If you were to say "I don't think the films of Ron Howard are very artistic" - I'd probably agree but to be so generic as to say film is not art is just ridiculous.

OK then if you are making the actual process of absorbing the creation too fast/difficult to absorb (like blindfolding someone before they go into an art gallery) then you are hijacking yourself.
I think youve got 2 points here:

1 - you didnt write Dante's inferno (Dante did) - you also didnt act each part in your film, or make the church/street/ all the props yourself etc.
BUT you act as the filter for what people see. Just as flipping the book pages you are filtering it - actually ruining a good read.
As such you could ruin a good performance with rough edit desicions.....
    And so make 'bad art'.

Doesnt stop you being an artist, or it being art - even if its bad, or unwatcheable....

2 - I cant remember what the other point was, this is all going to fast....

No, I was just going back to my original point. You're an idiot.

Have fun in the pub tonight. Are you in Central London?
