PASADENA MOVEON IS PRODUCING A NEWSMAGAZINE VIA PUBLIC ACCESS ON TELEVISION
CHANNEL 56
Pasadena MoveOn is currently putting together a very exciting project. We
are organizing a public access TV show that will be broadcast over Channel
56 in Pasadena and available worldwide via the internet through live
streaming. This will allow us to take advantage of a terrific media
opportunity to get our message out to more people. Hosted by various members
of our Pasadena MoveOn group, each one-half hour program will explore
various pressing issues through interviews in the studio, as well as footage
shot out in the community.
We would like to feature clips from progressive filmmakers who have made
documentaries about the specific issues we plan to cover -- i.e., Leave My
Child Alone, Media Reform, Election Reform, Social Security, and Universal
Health Care.
We are currently accepting short/feature film submissions for our upcoming
shows. We want to work with up-and-coming as well as established progressive
filmmakers. We hope to help like-minded filmmakers find their political
voice in an industry that is often dominated by big money and big media. Our
show will utilize clips from new films and may include interviews with the
filmmakers,
as well as others.
If you would like to submit your film, we will accept the following formats:
DVDs
Mini-dv tapes
VHS tapes
If your film is chosen, it will need to be available in one of the following
formats:
Mini-dv tapes
Dv cam tapes
3/4 inch tapes
VHS tapes (this will be the lowest quality)
Please send your tape/DVD, along with a bio and any support materials to:
Janice Markham
Pasadena MoveOn
4932 Hartwick St.
Los Angeles, CA 90041
If you have your film available to view online, please e-mail URL to:
[email protected]
There is no fee to submit your work, but if you would like a tape returned,
please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your submission. When
we are ready for production, please be available to sign any necessary
releases and provide releases for those in the film wherever it may be
required.
Thanks!
