I don't know who it was but whoever put about things being taxed to much as it is e.g Americans paying 1/5 what we pay for petrol is an Idiot. Do you think having cheap fuel is a good thing? That is one of the reasons why this world is slowly falling apart around our ears and why The USA is probably THE biggest contributer to Global Warming...people drive down the road because they can afford to...Shit! Also high taxes on Petrol means that people think twice about making shorter journeys hence lowering the amount of petrol bought..this then lowers the profits of the big petrol companies which help fund some of the most horrific acts against The environment, animals..... and yes...humans that goes on today.

erm actually global warming hasnt been proved, the corrolation between the rise in heat and us using cars and shit is way out. its just a theory like treading on 3 drains is bad luck. and the fact we pay more for fuel is good for 2 resons, 1 we walk more and dont turn out to be fat americans, and 2 we have the n h s if we cant afford medical care.

Fact - when those rays are under the ozone layer they have to be bounced out of the whole in the ozone layer to escape otherwise they bounce around under it.

Have all of you missed the point? Smoking makes you look cool. People with a cigarette in their hand look 12% cooler and 1% more pleasant than non-smokers, plus we're alot more relaxed because we've had a cigarette so do not feel the need to moan about nonsense like taxation. Why do people knock smokers? I really don't care if I die of cancer because smoking is really nice. Why should people be ashamed of doing something legal that they enjoy?

Never said I wouldn't/don't use transport that uses petrol...but like I said it is EXCESS carbon...so using public transport is cutting the amount of pollution and cheap petrol would mean people would use their cars more frequently for smaller journeys

What about those who rely on their car such as pentioners or single parents?
no matter how highly you tax fuel there will always be middle class mummy picking her only child up from school in some sort of fucking road-tank.
those business types will always be able to pay their local esso garage, so they don't have to condecend to taking a bus, and will sadly always make it work. others, perhaps your grandparents, or that lonley old couple on your paper round wont be so fortunate....what about when need to get to the hospital to have their hip looked at, you expect them to wait for the fucking 9X?

why is everyone moaning on aout reducing your life expectancy? when you're really old, there's sod all you can do, other than really annoy hell out of people, by walking really slowly in front of them when they're in a rush. Oh and talking about the good old days. Being old, and senile, and incontinent, and not being able to walk properly and all the other shite you get when you get old...not a nice thought.
Thank you, but if that's what i've got to look forward to, i think i'm gonna start smoking far more. Could get run over by a bus tomorrow, that's decrease my life expectancy considerable i'm sure. But we're not gonna start taxing buses, and stopping people using them, just cos it might decrease someone's life expectancy.
And anyway, the reason the number of people dying of cancer has increased dramatically over the last few decades, is because hospitals and things are better equipped to deal with all the diseases that used to kill people and this is one of the few ones that cannot be cured yet. So something has to kill them all off. So there.
