Ooooh, it's not very punk is it? Who cares. Geek. Punks been festering for ages now. Cuz all the REAL PUNKAZ are too scared to do anything else or move forward. A genre on it's arse.
I bet you're one of those kids who uses the phrase "well, I like there OLD stuff" when refering to any band who have changed their sound and added more depth.
And, although Control Freak had good songs, they were hardly emo. There are no emo bands in GY anyways. I won't go into that tho cuz genre classification is boring to explain.
I do think that Control Freak shouldnt have been so high on the bill though. Because they havent been around for long and because they werent really very tight or well-organised. Not a caining cuz you were still good. It's just that Stephane Stanley's whoever sells the most tickets goes highest is a shit scheme. It doesnt get the best out of a gig and has been known to ruin gigs. Solid dont care about the music. As Mr Tezza pointed out the other day, if you ask Steve how a gig went he'll say "Great we had X-amount of people on the door and X-amount of ticket sales." He never once mentions how good the bands are.
Oh, and diverse gigs rule. If you cant hack it, fuck off back to the late 70s punk scene.

Probably wrong, but didn't emo derive from punk?

EMO derived from the word EMU, EMU lives in a windmill and hates grotbag, he also has an annoying man with his hand up EMU'S arse.
PUNK derived from the word PONK, PONK is a term used to describe the differences between various types of cheddar.
METAL derived from the word MEATVILLE, MEATVILLE is a small town in canada were veagns are banished to for causing arguments in most of Canadas cities. Also see NEW MEATVILLE to lower the population of OLD MEATVILLE.

Hello
This topic is dead crap
Mixed gigs are fun
Definitions of music are boring
PS Listen to PMFS if you think 'emo' or whatever is boring or slow
And i think saying it is out of time is shockingly stupid.
