it would be nice to have another all-dayer in gy, with gy bands ONLY, and have all genres....i think theres enough bands to fit the bill......it is quite silly arguin about, i class all the above genres of music, punk, metal, emo etc as one...thats alternative...so i say someone should organise a gig, not me cos im lazy, but someone with too much time on there hands....it would rock and u know it.

I'm quite
new on the scene (a 'newbo' or
whatever), a lot of the people I hang
around with are 4 or
more years older than me
and have been to the gigs
you're talking about, i've been into
punk (of most types) for a fair
few years, i'm a bit
too young
to have seen most of the bands that
many of you are using to
prove
you are old school GY scene, and I know
who a lot of
you are, infact I talk
to a few of
you and I know you've been going out for years, but I,
personally, consider 'how punk you
are', if its possible
to be
more punk than someone else, to be based on attitude -- I dont
mean how
many flags you've burned in your life
or how many times you've
kicked litter
bins in the street to prove you're 'fucking
the system' -- I just think that
punk's a lot more than
just a
musical style and/or style
of dress, just because I've only
been going out for
a couple of
years, just
because
I haven't seen
Pinto before or because
I only saw One Car Pile-up for the
first time
the other week does that itself mean I'm
not as punk as those
who've been going to
punk gigs for
more
than two years, who've
seen Pinto, who used to
get pissed with One Car
Pile-up? Personally
I think
not,
but thats for others to
decide I
guess...
