I love Wertico w/ Metheny and have seen him many times...unbelievable cymbal work but I must say the Vids on his web site are terrible........just terrible

I agree, great drummer, but...Dang! Those videos are annoying AND unflattering, to say the least...

Sometimes it's like that. Some clips are often quite good, but...

Havent looked at those yet, but i can say from a few others I've seen out there that sometimes some of these clips def do not do some of these guys justice. Gary H comes to mind on a couple of clips. ["Some" analogy, huh?!] [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img]

Not that they are bad; quite the contrary, but it's just that often clips just arent capable of giving you the FULL monty / appreciation of a player's true capabilty. Understandable, sometimes.

But if I were the guy, I'd make sure a killer groove clip was on there AWA a chopsfest clip ["for the kiddies," to paraphrase Sean Rickman]. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I saw Paul live w Metheny twice & he was excellent in his own way, of course.

No drummer that's ever graced Pat's drum chair was ever anything but stellar in their own right. [Danny, Paul, Antonio, etc etc]

Evidently these clips you referred to are an example of what I've just referred to.
