He's not doing the typical retail price/sale price. Right now it's just a base price of $675. That may fluctuate some depending on options etc. I'm buying my own throw off and lugs for mine and he'll just put those on. Thanks!

Hi Guys,
I know a lot of you are big Vinnie fans, myself included. As many of you know, Vinnie has been using a snare drum called a Longo for some time now and is even pictured on the "Unreel" book slammin one. Thanks to a member here, I have been able to get in touch with Neil Longo, and have met with him this past weekend. He very much wants to get his snares out to the masses, and rightfully so. I played a pseudo-Vinnie model on a gig Friday, and was amazed. This is a 5x14 solid walnut, 1 ply drum. It's a total drum with a great combination of warmth, clarity, depth and crack. Ghost notes were like butter! This particular snare is up for sale through my shop, Colorado Drum. He also will make custom snares to order per your specs. I know he has Birch, Cherry and Walnut 1 plies ready to go. We will be stocking several models soon. These shells are hand bent by Neil and he will add whatever components you like. I'm having one built for myself in the Walnut w/ a Trick throw and the Vinnie style Remo lugs. If any of you have an interest in these snares, please contact me at the shop, days at 970-416-0369. My name is Clark and I'll be happy to give you whatever info I can. Hopefully this blatant self-promotion won't offend anyone-I just know how much I wanted to find out about these snares and how happy I was when I did.
Thanks!

I can't help but wonder how Gretsch feels about Vinnie using these snares! Especially since he has his own signature snares with them.

Wink

Thank YOU Scott! I didn't want to post your name without your knowing it . I'm hoping we can get it happening as well. As for the endorsment thing, I'm not sure of all the ins-and-outs of that. The cats out of the proverbial bag though since "Unreel" came out! Lots of guys use a variety of drums, particularly snares even though they may endorse one specific thing.

Clark, good job on getting in contact with Neal and getting his drums out to the public! Neal is a great guy and builds a great drum. I have two of his drums, of which one I offered for sale here at HOD. I have had the opportunity to play 5 or 6 of his drums all of different sizes and wood types and all were impressive. Good luck with his line of snares at your shop!
