Geez. I saw him on SNL w/ Janet Jackson and he just laid this groove down that was about as perfect a groove as I've ever heard. The funk was just boiling off the screen.

I saw him w/Jacko in the 80's when I worked at Dodger Stadium. True story--I walked to the middle of the field (we could roam as desired) and was watching Sugar groove...then I looked up and saw Jeff with his wife. NO WAY! WAY! That was better than seeing Jacko in his prime. I'm all pumped up and walk out to the car...pop the radio on and TOTO was being interviewed, talking about what Africa meant. Good night!
