    Saw that Conan performance...smallest BD I've ever seen...couldn't been more than 14" and the sound...well...'nother subject. I couldn't hear the BD for the life of me...whatever. Sn wasn't impressive either IMO...music was OK. Better performance of Mayer was in Tx with Cheryl Crow and a host of other performers...that was a killer performance.

    I remember seeing Jordan on Letterman in 198x and that super cranked rack tom was really nasty sounding...in a bad way.

    I got the TRY! cd for x-mas and it's growing on me, but I'll agree that Jordan's drum sound leaves a bit to be desired. I looke at the specs on Yahmaha's site and it's a 12 x 22" bass drum. In my opinion, its the "el camino" of bass drums, pretty cool .....for about 10 seconds.
