Kurt R, everything is at NAMM including all the marching percussion gear.

    drummin1 that would be a great line-up. Thanks!

    I also got a thing about a Kaman Music event w/ Al DiMeola "and band" on Sat. nite. That one may be an invite only deal, but worth checking out.

    Keep in mind some of the events, especially Yamaha (I think the drum night is over tho) are hard to get tickets for.

    As for getting in w/o a tix...it can be done. I posted a step by step last year how to that works well.

    We had a get together on Sat two years ago. Sat was a good night for the most men to gather. I think it worked because a set time was given...and that needed several adjustments due to schedules ( I remember running across the street outside calling Joe's Mech and he was in the Valley while another guy was inside...crazy).

    Hope it works...here's a posterity photo for motivation;

    I'm looking into my crystal ball right now. I see a girl. Yes.... that's it. A girl and she's with your kids. Yeah... and she seems to be playing with them and now feeding them dinner. Uh huh... yup!! And I see a newspaper on the coffee table. It's the same date as the NAMM show. I forsee a baby sitter in your near future my friend.

    Will be there with Dave Karisony, my bud, and an awesome drummer.

    Confirm the Weckl gig at Sabian. That should be hella-cool. Does anyone know if Zildjian is doing their "evening" again and who might be playing??

    HAHAHA! joesmech, too much dude. i miss ya guys already. thanks for the post on the weckl/wooten/stern gig. sounded like a blast. (as only Joesmech can describe it!)dude, i'm gonna try. it's been tough trying to spend time on the boards lately let alone go to see a show or esp. going to see you guys at namm. karisony, huh? dude, that's messed up! i heard so much great things about him. wasn't he playing with bromberg and lorber at one point or another? that's messed up, dawg! new job in the o.c., new kid coming in the not so distant future. (crossing my fingers)plus my wife has to attend a funeral up in the bay area that whole week. bummer, eh?

    at the same time, all your posts keeps me ethused about music and drumming no matter how big or small the life-change is. i appreciate this board very much. thanks, mang!
