The Updated Realistic Rock Drum Method: Book & CD: Carmine Appice

Does anyone know this? My wife got it for me for Christmas -- hasn't gotten here though (in the mail somewhere).

I know Appice, of course, but I don't really think of him as my style. Of course, that doesn't mean I can't learn from it.

Anyway, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

One of the books I have my students go through..... How long have you been playing? It may be a little too simple for ya?
Great for learning beats and such....only touches breifley on other styles besides rock and odd time sig.
I do like the way you have a whole bunch of excerises and then all the excersises are put together to make up a 8 or 12 bar excersise to implement what you have learned.
Also having the CD helps....some people need to hear it before it makes sense to them.....
A good beginner/intermediate book that is well written....

    Just my opinion.
