Are you using an external hard-drive? Is Pro Tools set to use that as the audio drive? Is the external hard-drive USB or firewire?

Are you using an Mbox? No kvm right? (device to switch between multiple computers)

I have tried several methods, Partitioning a hard drive, and than using an external hard drive...the external is usb....and I know that is not as good as firewire. But thats what I have done so far.
