I have searched in the database and I haven?t found this topic. Maybe it was in the past, anyway....
I am a big cinema fun, and I would like to take a look to the list of some of your FAVORITE-RECOMMENDED films.
They haven?t to be your ULTIMATE LIST, just films you would highly recommend to another person. I suggest 3 points, in order to be easy to answer:
1. ALLTIME 2-3 FAVORITE MOVIES (classics)
2. YOUR 2-3 RECENT FAVORITE MOVIES (filmed from 10 years ago to the present, aprox)
3. FAVORITE 2-3 MUSIC RELATED MOVIES.
Sure I leave a lot of good titles out, but this is my (thinking fast) recommended short list:
1. The appartment. Amadeus. Key Largo
2. In the name of the father. Magnolia. The hurricane
3. * AMADEUS*. Almost famous. The Commiments

1. The Third Man, Metropolis, Leon (this is a classic in my opinion)
2. Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Incredibles, Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime).
3. Almost Famous, The Commitments, West Side Story. Not released yet, but Icons Among Us ( www.iconsamongus.com ) looks pretty exciting.

Hey Randy...just saw GlenG Glen Ross (Porcaro did that sndtrak I believe) for a writing thing. In fact, if anyone in the LA area (Glendale) is interested, there's a free screen writing workshop once a month. You see a great movie and then there is a discussion...sometimes the screen writer or someone else involved in the film present. The February film for discussion is: The Incredibles
Dramatic Events
My List:
1. Bridge On the River Kwai--1957 * Planet of the Apes--1968 * Willy Wonka--1970
2. Fearless (Jeff Bridges should have won the Academy Award) * Jennifer 8 * Shot Through the Heart * Inner Circle
3. Passenger 57 * Grand Canyon * Jennier 8 * Dave (these are the only movies I bought soundtracks from)
