Found this out on Robertopeland's site tonight.....Lee Ritenour Live In Montreal 1991 DVD has just been released with Gary on drums.

I had that show on video at one point but lost it! It was a great show and Abe Laborial on bass was just insane... Gary was really young and played amazing too. Glad to hear that its out on DVD

I also have this show on video. Actually that year they toured under the "GRP All-Stars" name:
Lee Ritenour, Dave Valentin, Dave Gruisin, Ernie Watts, Abe Sr. & Gary.
I saw the NYC date of this show as I was at Drummers Collective at the time. I went there with all the students of my class and Gary BLEW us away. We could'nt believe a young guy our age to play like this and we went out really...depressed. But the next day everybody showed up early at school with the motivation to shed even more!!
And YES, Abe was awesome. The perfect combination of chops-groove-showmanship!!!
Tania Maria with Kim plainfield was the opening act of this show [img]eek.gif[/img] Killer night!

I hope this is a good show because i Just bought it at Borders and will pick it up on the to hang with TS today and watch it on the bus along with Holdsworth with Novak........it's drum geek fest today. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Very kewl DVD, a young Novak playing mostly traditional grip on a white Recording Custom kit, 8,10,12 2floors.
Forgot to mention, Novak gets a nice drum solo towards the end of the show
