Joel Rosenblatt is leaving Spyro Gyra. In my opinion, he will not easily be replaced.
Any guesses from the HOD board as to who might fit the bill?
Perhaps you could audition Steve... you could handle 200 dates a year... right?
Best of luck to Joel as he pursues other musical interests!

Steve... Would be interesting to hear you in that band...

BTW Steve, I have a question...

I'd be curious to hear some of your Latin interpretations. And why not make it your next HOD lesson? A songo... Tumbao... Samba... etc... Just a thought...

Most of my latin stuff is pretty generic and not totally authentic. But I get a chance to listen to a lot of latin music because my roomate is a sax / flute player that does a LOT of latin gigs.

I don't like saying no when someone asks to share stuff but then again I don;t know that I would feel comfortable giving an example of something I'm not 100% on. It would be more of a "demonstration" of how I do things I guess.

I do like playing samba with brushes though, it always gets a great response from musicians when I get the oppurtunity to do it.
