I am relieved but I'm still wondering how reliable that tool is. Does it 100% mean that I didn't get the virus?

Well the website it came from (symantec) is part of the norton anti-virus company and they are world-wide so i very much doubt that they would place that there if they didnt think it was going to work. If i were you i would save up or just go and buy norton anti-virus 2003 cos it is really good, i dont trust free ones, it cost me ?30 to get it and it does whole pc scans and everything and also keeps your pc virus-free
like i said i would trust the tool that you used

Thanks Hannah
I did check for a Norton Anti virus recently but unfortunatelly, it's too expensive for me. It costs more here

Thanks for the heads up Janie!
I wish we could rid the world of spammers and the idiots who write these virus programs. I don't understand their motivations for this.
*sigh*
Karma will catch up with them.

Oh i'm so sorry Ivana, it costs that much where i live anyway. Have you looked on the site?? sometimes they discounts on there. It is a very expensive thing to have and you have to upgrade it every year if you want to be protected (which i think is silly cos you have to shell out ?30 each time)
http://www.symantec.com
they dont always hav discounts but sometimes they do

i just had a virus try to eat my ICQ and other programs! It was W32/Bugbear and it was about that size - 50 k or so! I normally don't download ANYTHING i don't recognize and the double extension SHOULD have tipped me off but it was from an important lady at my uni with an actual relevent title, i thought it was a form i needed or something! @_@ So stupid me not only downloaded it, i opened it as well!
Then next time i start up i get these Alerts from my antivirus program, had to download a special program to clean and repair stuff and sure enough - it came from that file! THAT WAS FREAKY AND VERY ANNOYING! Luckily i caught it before it did TOO much damage @_@
