Ten+ things I am thankful for today

    1. My children, a constant source of love, inspiration, reward and challenge

    2. My husband's continued love and support, especially since 16.2.92 when this downward spiral began, he must wonder what the hell happened to the person he married.

    3. The Barossa Valley fog this morning...strangely comforting.

    4. My GP, who not only listens but truly hears, a rare gift.

    5. Robbie William's song Angels..a defining moment

    6. I am me, perfectly flawed and that's ok

    7. Being disillusioned with DH because it has opened so many new experiences music wise and I crave music in my life.

    8. The roof over my head and food on my table.

    9. Bubble baths and tears at 2 a.m. ...healing

    10. Balfours frog cakes....total decadence

    11. 'The Biggest Morning Tea'...a beautiful way to raise funds for cancer research.

    12. My online friends..simply the best!

    13. Nicky's squeals of delight when I finished knitting her scarf (made with the current craze here 'feathers' wool) now I'm underway with Kristy's.

    oh and one more

it's only early stage arthritis...totally manageable.

We all need to count our blessings some days - sounds like you have some good ones. Glad your arthritus is managable health worries are the worst - the worry though is often worse than the diagnosis (not always I know but hopefully more often than not).

feathers wool is an absolute bugger to knit with...grrrrr! It's a very thin strand with feathery bits so when it's knitted it looks all fluffy and feathery. It does come in the most beautiful colours.90316

Barb, I hope you're feeling a little happier today. I'm sorry yesterday was such a rough one for you

I think when we count our blessings it really does put all this other stuff in perspective.

I'm also sorry to hear you're suffering with arthritis. I hope your condition is manageable and you're not in too much pain with it.

    Janie xx

Hope things are better for you today Barb.

I was advised by my CPN ( community psychiatric nurse)when I'm in a bad stage with my depression to do what you have done Barb and take 10 minutes out and just think and sit about the good things you have got and not to focus on the bad ( which is what I do too much of and am my own worst enemy half the time), and it really does help me.

    Hugs to you.
