Just wondering where you found that information. I looked on Kim Fowley's website but didn't really find anything. But I don't doubt that he was associated with Iron Virgin. Thanks!! [img]graemlins/pizza.gif[/img]

I believe plagarism only applies to lyrics and melody and NOT to a guitar riff or drum beat.
That being said, California Paradise is a distinctively different song!
One I love BTW!

You are right Gus and I love California Paradise too.
The Iron Virgin song is awful but it does have that great rythm section.
I suppose it could even be a coincidence.
Emily, I'm not sure Fowley was directly associated with Iron Virgin
but he had many direct connections with other Decca artists prior to 1974.
Spider, The Chances, PJ Proby and Bo and Peep to name a few.

That's funny! The guitars really do sound the same. The vocal is totally different, but wow! How can that be legal?
