I remember when "Beauty.." came out; it was around the same time as 'Waitin' for the Night.' I saw a copy at Peaches Records and Tapes (long gone now) and I asked one of the guys working there if he was familiar with the Runaways and if he had heard this album. He said he had -- it wasn't the same sound as the Runaways -- it was more 'sweet.' It was an import and I think the price was like $25 (a lot of money back then). I put the album back with the intention of buying it at a later time. That was the last time I ever saw that album until years later on Ebay. I did buy 'Messin' With the Boys' in 1980 and I believe it is one of the best albums released, to date, by a former Runaway.

I agree! 'Messin' With The Boys' is one great album!
Too bad you missed out on 'Beauty's Only Skin Deep' way back when.
Hopefully you have it now!!! I just copied mine onto cassette tape
today so I can listen to it in the car!
Both albums stand the test of time very well! Cherie ROCKS!!!
