Bruce Springsteen made a special unannounced appearance Saturday night at the Mike Ness show at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
Springsteen joined Ness and his band on stage for a four song mini-set of the Ness-penned tunes "Misery Loves Company," "Ball and Chain" and "If You Leave Before Me" plus the Bobby Fuller classic "I Fought The Law."
Springsteen first leant vocals to "Misery Loves Company" when it appeared on Ness's 1999 album "Cheating at Solitaire."
Mike Ness is currently on his first solo tour in nearly 10 years. The tour, showcasing Ness's strong connection to country, blues and American roots rock, makes stops this week in Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Aspen and Salt Lake City.
