the chelsea smiles and the dead 60s are definatly not my cup of tea. I just couldnt get into either of them, but they sounded great. The fillmore has such good acoustics. Anyways social d still never ceases to amaze me. To me they are one of the tightest and most powerful bands Ive ever seen on stage. Another great set from the boys. Definatly not as much banter between songs from mike which was cool cause the last few shows it was dragging on a bit. heres the set list,if I forget any let me know.

I went to the Monday night show and it was great. I went with a friend who said that was the best he had ever seen them live, which is about 3x counting last night. The first couple of songs they ripped right thru, going from one song to the next w/o a pause...awesome! And when they broke into "Under my thumb" the whole place broke into a chaotic frenzy.

Devil Dog was okay, and I liked the onstage energy from the Dead 60's.

Seems as though the set list was fairly similiar to the one above except for a couple of changes: King of Fools, Creeps & She's a Knockout. It was cool to hear some oldies that weren't "hits" (ie KOF).

One last note: What happened to Jonny? That poor guy looks as though he has aged about 10 years since I saw him last time (late last year). Touring has taken a toll on him? Anyone else notice this?

Someone please give good details about the new song called "Bakersfield." I heard that it has an early CCR feel to it....
