i believe wolfpits is the resident guitar techy...
Here is a a question for any of the guitar players out there....
Did anyone notice that 2 Bags was sportin' some new amps on this last tour? He is now playing custom amps from Splawn (know for the Eddie Van Halen sound). Sounded great, especially when playing 6 More Miles and Take Her Back.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them, or why the deviation from the old Marshalls.

I agree! I love his rig set-up and it is classic sounding - perfect for Social D.
to be honest with you, i've never seen or heard of those amps before. Sorry I cant help more. They sound like marshall Plexi's to me with a different nameplate on them. Probabably modified old Marshalls with a circuit or 2 changed out. thats my best guess. i play my Fender Twin Reverb almost exclusively now so I just don't pay much attention.

Last time I saw them (july) 2bags was using a satellite head (boutique) with a variac hooked up to it.
Thanks to all for the feedback. Good info.
I agree with Wolfpits that they are basically hotrodded Plexi's. Badass sounding.
Jonny could play a shoe and make rock.
See you all further on up the road.
