Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore....

Make sure that "Restore my computer to an earlier time" is chosen....

Then look for an earlier restore point, if an are available...

P.S. Your Navigation to get to the "System Restore" may vary since I kind of switched things around. Good Luck.

    How old is your Dell??

Here is a trick that works with the newer Dells if you want to do a complete restore....

WHen you first turn on your computer, look for a blue bar to flash across the top of the screen. Then this happens hit shift+F11 and a restore ultiliy will pop up. You don't need any CDs or anything and it will restore your computer so it's just like the day you took it out of the box.
