Hey everyone, I was wanting to play "Don't take me for granted" at my upcoming wedding and was wondering if anyone knew or has a version of this song that is edited. I don't want to offend or piss off any older ppl that will be there. I dont need my grandma angry at me haha

I would recommend breaking out the acoustic and writing your own lyrics and playing at the wedding. D, A, G...D..A repeat.

I'm not sure how a song about losing a friend would be appropriate for a wedding, but hey...we all interpret music differently!...

Its such a great song acoustic though that I think you should give it a shot.....that is...if you are in fact a true guitar gansta!!!

i think what he was saying is he wants the DJ to play that song at his wedding but he wants the part that says "fucked up teanage band" to be censored so that he doesnt offend some of the people in the audience.

I would say you may be able to edit it yourself. I even think if you played it and left it the way it is it only says "fucked" one time so it will be over in an instant and many people will never realize what they heard. but i think if you just spliced that out of the song and played it like that then nobody would even notice a seam in the song. It may just sound like the cd skipped one time. thats probably your best bet instead of having it bleeped out.

Don't know if this will help or not, but you might call KROQ and see if they have a "radio friendly" version and if they do they might be able to help you out! Just a thought.

I take "Dont take me for granted" as a life lesson kinda of song. Not to take friendships and relationships for granted. Not necessarily just being about losing Dennis. It is also my fiancee and I's favorite social d song.
