Well, the movie does show him doing his hair. It's also a good source of makeup tips for anyone going for that "sympathetic look"...
LMFAO
im talking about the tall spiky black hair
i knew a girl in high school that dyed her hair blonde, then would spike her hair in different ways using colored elmers glue, not sure if they still make it though.
when i had the mohawk, i used got2be glue or something like that. got it at the grocery store for about $6.
if anyone is interested in hawleywoods, this is the website:

i've heard that they want to open another shop or will be moving to long beach, but i'm not sure about that.

Okay, what you're gonna want to do involves a couple of steps.
First, spray your hair with some hairspray. You can find this at your local drugstore, supermarket or department store. You have to use just the right amount; not too little or too much. You'll get a feel for the proper amount to use after some trial and error.
Second, spread your fingers and place them in your hair. You'll then want to close your fingers together until you're firmly grasping your hair between them- not so firmly as to cause discomfort but just firmly enough to provide adequate support. Next you move your hand in an upward motion as to pull your hair skyward. You'll need to hold it there for just a moment as the hairspray "sets".
I hope this has been helpful.
