Steve, I was wondering how many different Yamaha kits you have and which models they are. I have seen you play everything from Oak to old Recording Customs. I loved your sound with Scofield at the El Rey.

Thanks bro, i'm glad you dig the sound of my kits.

The kits i use on the road are supplied by Yamaha and local Yamaha distributer. Sometimes we use the same kit for an entire tour. My main choice is Maple Custom Absolute or Oak Custom. If those aren't available in a particular city, I'll take any yamaha model because they all sound great.
