Wow...Thanks for all the info there Mr. Blittz!!! I always wondered why everything AFTER Immigrant was sooooo damn different, and now I fully understand. They are definitley one of those bands that in the early days, it was a combo if forces that created the unique sound. Atleast that is what I always thought. You could also tell, when I saw them way back in '86 or '87, that Jay was the guy who wanted to be a "Rock Star" and Michael was the underground guy. Heck, it started with the slow build up, and the "Always a flame" came on, with Michael already on stage and Jay running out, guitar in hand, jumping over to the mic, hand raised to the screaming fans. Michael just stood there. There was already at that time a HUGE difference in how they both performed, and that was before Discover even hit the US shores.

Ya see a looooonggggg as post, and you naturally assume it is me doing the writing. Understandable mistake. But this one wasn't longwinded, it was well written. That is the difference between.

You don't know how long I spent editing it though!
By the way, the new Beggars Banquet remasters of the first three GLJ albums are well worth getting. I'm listening to 'Immigrant' at the moment and have to agree that it's still a great album. Strange that they've only done the first three - maybe they're of the same opinion as you, Carl.

Immigrant was by far GLJs best album, but I thought Discover was excellent...as well as...House Of Dolls, which showed that GLJ was going to the Rockier Style change.
