Back to the Gunfires, they supported us (Cry) at Edwards No8 87/88 and to be honest were pretty bad, although the drummer Ozzie was cool, I saw them a couple of years later in Hull after I'd hooked up with the Rags and they were awesome. IH weren't they the band that got the deal we were chasing. If so I fuckin hate them.

I believe he got a Ratpack tattoo even before
he auditioned for us! I could be
wrong there, though. We were quite happy for
him to join, except, he couldn't actually play
the drums.
That gig at in Nottingham, I think Ex-Boyfriends played it... the one with the Vamps. We had choppy short black hair ALA Richey Manic & all I remember was a lot of the old Dogsbody / SkinTrade fans wouldn't speak to us because we'd dared cut our hair!?!
Ah bless.
I wish somebody had video'ed that bloody gig because
it keeps cropping up in conversation, and the
more I think about it, the less I remember.

Christ Darren - I'd forgotten about the Ratpack tattoo!!! I think that might be even less wise than the Moustache / spandex combination on the other page!!
Andi wasn't exactly Tommy Lee but what got him the gig with us was Mitch & my obsession with the New York Dolls. Mitch said to me "He's another Jerry Nolan" & that turned me around. Prior to that, I was ready to thank him but send him packing...
I think we've acknowledged a couple of "characters" in ST but remember that the other 3 were quite normal!!! ha!
<font size="4" face="Arial">Used to hang out at Edwards on a Saturday night with Ozzie, some Gunfires and Brooklyn Dogs. It was a great time what I remember of it... Hic!Originally posted by Bedlam:

Hey mate,
And me !!! I was a regular at Edwards No8 for years and at the stay sick club at xl's which the Gunfires did after that!!
Still see some of them around occasionally , always liked them, even if they did have questionable taste in women ha ha!!
What really happened to Bad Detective? Favourite Record was fucking great!
...you were the only girl who could kiss me...
There was also a little ditty called Teenage by some group of French Dogs. Whatever happened to them?
Here's one, Love It To Death a band from Leeds, did loadsa gigs with them and they were bloody good. Trouble with them was, guitarist used to hit the self destruct button big time and ended up completley passed out onstage a couple of times. Shame really.

have got one and I was the bloody band! Haha.
..Some might say, though, that we did out best
stuff after Dean left to persue a crappy caberet
circuit career and we slimmed down to a three
piece w/me on vocals. But hey, I'm biased.
What happened to Silkiknickers?
