I was just listening to some Candy today. Sooooo, dumb, lame, boring question, but which one do you kids prefer?

I also was listening to Candy today and have to say....
1. Loveless (epic, timeless, awesome)
2. Candy (if I was ten years younger, they'd be topping the list)
3. Electric Angels (kinda' a combination of the two. I'm not that wild about EA. Had a few good tracks on s/t album, but also some rather generic tunes. Not strong enough for me. Still better than about 75% on the radio throughout the nineties, though)
Hope that helps. Would love to hear what everybody else thinks.

The Candy album is my all-time favorite album, and the Loveless album is my second favorite all-time. That being said, the Loveless material was far stronger overall. Bottom line...Jonathan Daniel is one of, if not THE best songwriters in this country over the last 25 years or so, and everything he's written has been brilliant, including the Electric Angels stuff...

1. Loveless (amazing cd, one of my top 5 of all time)
2. Electric Angels (when it first came out it was in my top 5 but now listening to it i'm not as in love with it as i was before. like mentioned, some really good tunes and some generic tunes. it's still kinda high on the list due to the memories it envokes though)
3. Candy (not a big fan of Candy. too bubble gum poppy for me)

I'm torn. I think Angels is definitley at the bottom for me. I always liked it, but was never as in love with it as some people.
The Loveless is an amazing album, and one that completely defies any category. I like Shanes voice a whole bunch on that one, whereas I am a little indifferent to him on the Angels stuff.
Candy is very bubblegummy and almost too Poppy, but Vincents voice is so damn great. I could listen to that guy sing almost anything. One of the most underrated voices ever, IMO.
So it is a toss up between Candy and Loveless.
Then there is Shane's "Blue Movie".

I'd put Shane's "Blue Movie" above Candy and a very small tiny notch below the Electric Angels and thats just due to the memories i mentioned above.

Blue Movie was just such a shock to me, and it all worked so well to my ears that it might be above them all. It's so far removed from Glam, but he does such an amazing job with that thing. It's a shame we never got anymore from him.
