Yeah i have a live televised Smack show on video here too. It was on the end of a Hanoi Rocks bootleg vid i bought many moonz ago.
Smack was pretty cool when they were out here in California. They did a small tour in the late 80's and played some LA clubs. I do photography and I got some really killer live shots!
The gutarist (Mika Mantere) married a friend of mine and they don't live too far. Claude passed away some years back due to a heart condition and I believe Rane also lives in Los Angeles, but I'm not too sure.

Smack was kewl as fukk!Saw them quite a few times back in Finland.
Smack was great at doing covers i thought. the Iggy cover rocked, Dead Boys did do it better than Smack. There cover of "Paint it Black" was great. And same with there cover of "Wishing Well" which i actually think that Mission UK did a better cover of that one. Never heard the original of "Maggie McGill" so i can't say anything on that one. "Stepping Stone" another cover that is done by EVERYBODY that each version stands out on ther own.
Anybody knows what happens with the official site of Smack? http://www.smackonyou.com doesn't work... The same with Hanoi Rocks site....
