It's not the sex,
I love the way you feel,
When I look into your eyes,
I believe everything is real.
I love the way you look,
When you say my name,
Your hand upon my thigh,
Makes me feel just the same.
I want to know you,
From your head to your toes,
Not sure what will happen,
But I want to see where it goes.
I want to touch you,
Whenever you are near,
I want to hold you in my arms,
Whisper I will always be here.

Wrote this for my Step-Sister when she got married...Put it on a nice picture and framed it.
You're getting married today,
I wish you a lifetime full of love,
I hope your marriage is full of happiness,
That as children you used to dream of.
As you stand in front of family and friends,
Look in each others eyes and say I do,
I want you to see a future of possibilities,
Waiting there just for you.
I want you to have family,
On holidays and all year round,
I want you to have financial comfort,
To keep you safe and sound.
I want you to have children,
Healthy playing in the yard,
Giggling and laughing,
With the family dog standing guard.
I wish you love and happiness,
Strong family and caring friends,
Two Rocking chairs on the front porch,
Side by side at each days end.

Ok, I'll do few of the songs, since I actually am a bit proud of them *grin*
(Note: * denotes chorus)
Too Far Away
You're too far away,
For me to hold you now,
I want to reach out my arms,
And find you in them somehow.
I said it would be easy,
I know now that's not true,
Because you are too far away,
And I miss you.
*I miss you saying,
It will be okay,
I miss your smile,
When you look my way,
I miss those eyes,
That draw me in,
I miss your arms,
Enfolding me again.
You're too far away,
And I am feeling lost and alone,
I need to see your smile,
To find my way back home.
And I'm trying to make it,
Through another day,
I need your eyes to guide me,
But you are too far away.

A Thousand Miles Away
You're always there,
In the corner of my mind,
Time goes on,
And you're harder to find,
But the pain's still there.
And I think I have lost you,
I've learned to let go,
A memory sneaks up,
And I need to know,
Do you still care?
*And a thousand miles away,
You still haunt my dreams,
I've tried to outrun you,
Not far enough it seems...
And a thousand miles away,
I still here your voice,
I still see your smile,
I have no choice.
A thousand miles away.
Every street corner,
Held a memory for me,
Your favorite restaurant,
Where we used to meet,
I had to move away.
The days passed by,
It got easier each year,
I learned to live without you,
Without all the tears,
Living day by day.
*And a thousand miles away,
You still haunt my dreams,
I've tried to outrun you,
Not far enough it seems...
And a thousand miles away,
I still here your voice,
I still see your smile,
I have no choice.
A thousand miles away.

A certain Ninja Lesbian has bugged me into posting some of my poetry. Most of my poems are actually songs so not sure how well they read, since I *hear* them in my head. But I promised I would post some of them. I'll start out with the few poems I have...

- "How do you know the chosen ones? No greater love hath a man than he lay down his life for his friend. Not for millions, not for glory, not for fame... for one person. In the dark. Where no one will ever know or see." - Sebastion, Babylon 5

Oh and did I mention I am a hopeless romantic?
Poem for Dagny
I wanted to write you a love song,
But I didn't know where to begin,
I stared at a blank piece of paper,
And tried to find words in my pen.
I thought of how you laugh,
And saw your wonderful smile,
Got distracted from my task,
For at least a little while.
How I wish I could hear your voice,
On the other end of the phone,
And I long to hold you close,
Whenever you feel alone.
I wanted to write you a love song,
But I can't find all the words,
Your name keeps running thru my mind,
The most beautiful I have ever heard.
You calm me with your presence,
Without you I feel so lost,
You must have been sent from Heaven,
You are a bargin at any cost.
How I wish I could hear your voice,
On the other end of the phone,
And I long to hold you close,
Whenever you feel alone.
I wanted to write you a love song...

Very cool, Asis. I like these, too, a lot.

Branflakes, the ninja lesbian milk getter.
The one called "brain".
I walk the path, trying not to get pulled into the weeds.
God never gives us more than we can handle.
"See that star...the one shining brighter than all the others? I know the girl who hung it there."

Another One...
Wrapped Up in You
I see it in your eyes,
Something words can't say,
Regret mixed with surprise,
Feelings that won't go away.
I used to know your heart,
Years before it would break,
Before time drove us apart,
Before love was a mistake / Before my big mistake.
I almost didn't come,
My first thought was to run,
To look into your face,
To feel your warm embrace.
I thought it can't be real,
The way you make me feel,
I don't know what to do,
Wrapped up again in you...
I feel it in your touch,
A part of you still cares,
I wanted this so much,
I've never been so scared.
Can I trust my heart?
Is it telling me all lies?
I don't know where to start,
Looking in your eyes.
