Afraid of asking the question because
the answer might mean the end
You wait for him to say it
But perhaps he doesn't know

You're smart enough to see for yourself,
yet dumb enough to stay blind
If the answer is yes, then it doesnt match what's been
If it's no, then you know it's time to move on

Anything is better than nothing
But what it seems to be isn't enough

What are you doing here anyway?
You dont belong here
You should be superficial and shallow
Not deep and involved

You're just the same as everyone else
Don't let him tell you otherwise
You know how it is between you
What makes you think you're so special?

Maybe you once were, but you stuck a dagger in it long ago
Now you're just another brick in the wall
You're the same color as the next, nothing makes you stand apart from the rest
Quit fooling yourself

Time to accept things with the grace of a woman
Not the grief of a child
Find out what the truth is and live with it
Or go on hiding from everyone but yourself

The time is now

hmm..........i dont know either.......

maybe cuz it was just my thoughts as i typed it in without really thinking about it......i was talking to myself, basically.......it just doesnt seem like "art" to me *shrug*.......*L

im my own worst critic, but i'll continue to put stuff out there........someone somewhere might relate........that's what i like about this board and this kind of forum setting......."say anything".....you know?

i have to agree... if you had read "mexico city blues" by jack kerouac, then you would know that the first thought is the best thought. because the first thought is basically honesty, like when someone passes by you on the interstate and flips you off, your first thought is, "oh how i want a gun and i'd blow his *expletive* head off!" then the second thought is basically ignoring it so that you won't go to prison, but you still wanna kill the "expletive*er!
aww hell, go check out the mexico city blues for the spontaneous prose thingie and let me shut up here.
