brandy poem

[crazy a]

one of my wife's co-workers
recommended she drink a brandy
mixture to help her with
her sinuses.
so we went to the liquor store
and I found plain brandy
apple brandy
peach brandy
apricot brandy
this kind and that
and I didn't know what
to get
so I bought a small bottle of
very smooth
and that night she fixed her drink
and made a face
and threw up later on
and now, about a month later,
I type this poem
while drinking brandy mixed with
Coke and ginger ale
and thank goodness the bottle
is almost empty
because this stuff
tastes like
crap.

I found it ironic however - you posted a poem about a concoction that did not work (almost like an april fools prank!) - on april fools.

Well, I suppose that's one way of seeing it. I'd actually written it sometime in March (I think) and since I hadn't been on here for a bit, figured I'd throw a few of them up here.
