Have you ever been
So tired, you couldn't sleep?
Have you ever been
So upset, you couldn't weep?
Have you ever been
Playing poker, with 5 blank cards?
Have you ever been
A face in the crowd, in your own show?
Have you ever been
Lost in a place, you call home?
Have you ever been
So mentally alert, that you're body is run down?
Have you ever been
So afraid to live, that you are afraid to die?
Have you ever been
The last one picked, in a one-on-one game?
Have you ever been
So at peace, you are at war with yourself?
Have you ever been
So pissed, that you are perfectly calm?
Have you ever
Cut yourself so bad, you did not bleed?
Have you ever
Lost yourself in the moment, and struggle the whole week to get back their?
Have you ever
Shed a hollow tear?
Have you ever
Told your body "go", and your mind said "no"?
Have you ever
Sat perfectly still, in hopes of seizing the moment?
Have you ever
Ran in cirlces, to escape your troubles?
Have you ever
Wished harm to someone, and it happened?
Have you ever
Lived life on the edge, and carried a parachute?
Have you ever
Drove on the wrong side of the road, even though you are not in England?
Have you ever
Had a false start, when you are racing yourself?

You maybe had a good start, but it was incredibly long and monotonous. I found myself saying what the fuck as I sat on the brink of losing myself in sleep. When I read your stuff I feel like I'm reading the same thing everytime. Maybe you should try and branch your style out so the reader doesn't think to himself, "haven't I read this before." I'm not trying to be an ass...just being honest.

Nuff said on that. I agree. Truth, you need to express yourself in different words. Like I told Parch, Reach out and fucking take hold of the audience. I drifted through this poem and not one line stuck in my head, not even the one you repeated everytime. You have to keep it exciting.
