Well Of Hope

I've come across a well
In this endless desert
Overjoyed, I pump the handle vigorously
Because I'm dry in all the 5 senses
The faster I pump
The faster my hopes rise
A faint gurggle sound comes out
The well is dry and vacant
My hopes mirror the same image
Divine thirst
I reach for water
But nothing is available

good idea...tragic...like a lot of your stuff...but good . i don't like your use of hope..i do enjoy the concept you put into being dry . ....in all the 5 senses. that was interesting.
