Right and wrong,
black and white,
So many god damned colors a person couldn't count them all if he had to.
So many ways to see so few things,
Those things that really matter.
Even those things - are always different,
and Bitterly aparent.
Friends and enemies,
Enemies and friends,
Soldiering on through fields of life,
Long sewn with the seeds of fret and joy,
Worry and bliss.
Every step,
Half wishing you would step on a land-mine,
Blow it up,
you up.
You look around you, a field with endless possibilities,
Yet no solution.
Black and white,
And too many god damned colors.

I can't even give you a good critique on the style of this one, Hanny, because it hits too close to home. These are the thoughts that have been running around my head right now, too. Thanks for posting it.

i have to agree with all the other comments, this piece is really well written, especially if its just a 'random thoughts' kinda thing.
"So many god damned colors a person couldn't count them all if he had to."
--the only critique i could come up with was for this line, i would switch 'count' to 'see', i don't know why, sits a little different with me. changes the imagery.
"Soldiering on through fields of life,"
--i love this line, soldiering and fields really go together in a certain order, but the meaning is totally generalized. i like that
"Blow it up,
you up."
---sometimes this seems like such a good idea, i like this line because its kinda brutally raw and honest
Black and white,
And too many god damned colors
--perfect summation. sometimes wer'e too busy trivializing things down to right and wrong that the spectrum of possibilities is totally ignored. and sometimes that spectrum is too glaring and open ended.
isn't it typical, always wanting what was once there, but in a different shade.
good job, obviously! keep posting these randoms!!
