The Terrestrial Summit

While the rest of the world was shaken by the shocking turn of events, something that hadn't happened since the First Space War was about to begin. The Terrestrial Nations, feeling vulnerable, where about to hold a summit. The area once known as Latvia was chosen for it, for reconstruction had been good to the small nation. Because it was also held by OZ, they took it as a sign that the Earth nations may have found faith in them again. But OZ was not the only group interested in "trust" at this summit.
The topic at hand was what was to be done about Colonial Axis and how to fight against them. It was clear that war was the only option, but the real question was whether or not the rival factions would join forces again. Most of those pushing for this, the radicals, believed that the entire earth should unite against the ever-coming threat from above and made up the majority. On the other hand, the moderates (really only the AEUG faction of the Federation and ORB) wanted to find some means of diplomacy in order to avoid the destruction of the last war.
As the representatives of each nation took their place two politicians were noticeably late. The President of the Federation and the Princess of ORB...

Yuri gave the latecomers a disgruntled look, ?I am glad that you kould make it, president, princess.? 
Michel look angry and was about to say something stupid but Abram just shove him along, muttering, ?just ignore ?im, you?ll only dig yourself a deeper hole if you say anything.?

The actual building the summit was in was surrounded by Mobile Suits of various factions, guarding against any attack that might catch them off guard. The Princess was still climbing out of her Golden M1, which, if nothing else, gave her a dramatic means of attending. She gave Yuri only a cold glare after his comment and focussed her attention back on her three subordinates, nodding to the Blue Murasame and the two standard M1s as one took up guard of the Princess's personal machine. The captain of the guard stepped out of his Murasame as well and escorted the young sovereign to her seat.
Although it was not itentional, the Princess's lateness seemed to further promote her cause. She already stuck out as she entered in military uniform instead of a buisiness suit, and with many dinitaries already seated, her M1 and her appearance attracted attention.She had already spoken without words, "ORB will not be pushed around."

Camilla sat next to the leaders of the AEUG, it was clear to them that it was going to be an upward battle.

"Princess, it's a pleasure as usual." Said one of the men as she took her seat.

"The same goes for you Mr..."

"Henricks, we only met once before, so don't worry about it."

"No one has really had time to prepare, why do you think they called this so quickly?"

"To most of them, it's a shock the colonies could muster so much force, they probably want to get this war started quickly so they can mount an attack on the colonies before anyone starts asking questions about those who aren't affiliated with Colonial Axis. Simply stated, they like things "black and white"." 

"So may I assume that you'll be speaking on colonies' rights?"

"If I may assume you'll be pleading for your country's neutrality."

Camilla smiled gently at the older man and nodded. She could tell he was trying to be charming, but for a girl of her age, the 48-year-olds attention was slightly uncomfortable.

"Order!" Called the moderator, who was wearing an OZ uniform. "We are gathered here today as representatives of the Earth in a time of crisis under the invitation of the Earth Federation and the Organiztion Zodiac. Hence, we ask that the Representative of the former come forward and make his case."

Camilla's eyes narrowed, she had a rough idea of what the Federation's stance was, but she still feared hearing it.

Michel looked around and saw everyone staring at him, feeling slightly nervous, he gave a faint smile and moved the microphone closer to his mouth. ?Ahem, as you can all see,? a hologram projector in the center of the room conjured up an image of colonial axis?s fleet. ?The colonies are preparing for a attack on our nice blue planet, obviously jealous and their minds altered by the coordinator genes.? Michel around to see the expression on everyone?s face and began again with more impetus. ?We need to strike at the headquarters of this enlarging axis before they burn our homes and rape our wives.? Michel was begging to rave at this point, ?The savages that so dearly want to destroy our home must be dealt with in any means necessary, and if that includes destroying a colony then so be it.? Michel looked around once more, spying the grinning face on Yuri?s face he started once more, this time more crazed, ?we will have to build gigantic armies, and colossal fleets to regain our land, our money, sweat and blood, the colonies that were unrightfully taken from us. These mongrels seek to destroy every fabric of life as we know it by conquering us like modern day Huns. If we do not take action now, there will be no chance to stop the inevitable, and all of you will see the wrong of your ways.? 
Michel picked up a small glass of water that was sitting in front of him and took a sip. He looked around, then realizing that he was finished he looked at the peoples faces and gave another faint smile, just like he did when he began and spoke, ?That is all.? Michel sat down in his chair and listened intently to Abram as he sung words of praise in his ears.

Camilla sneered, she could understand wanting to defend one's self, but a good percentage of her country was coordinator. If they wnated her to join them they had made the wrong first impression.

Many others, such as the OZ and New Federation booths, clapped with fervor, this was not a day for the moderates.

"I think I speak for every Earthnoid with what I am about to say,"The man in the blue OZ uniform took the podium again and pointed to the fleet. "It is only a matter of time before that very fleet start sending their forces upon us. So let me say now that I stand beside the Federation to strike them first, just as any true Earthnoid would! I purpose that we band together against our common threat and OZ will gladly declare itself in support of the Federation and I expect all true patriots to do so as well!" The man stepped down and walked to the Federation booth to shake hands with Michel. The energy could be felt throughout the room, the excitement of going to war, and all those who opossed it could feel their hearts sink like the enemy HLV (Heavy Lift Vehicles) hitting the atmosphere overhead.

A man in an EAF uniform walked up to Anashka and whispered something in her ear. Anashka immediately turned around and strode out of the meeting room for her mobile suit.
Yuri Also got up, but instead stood up at the Podium, ignoring Anashka and stared around, giving a faint smile to Michel he began. ?My friends, it zeems that our time is short here. The Axis is already on it?s vay and I have dispatched a? Greeting party.?

"I can believe they're already attacking. The princess nodded to the guard captain, who stood and began to exit. The moderator, who so happened to be Baron Conrad of OZ, stood back at the podium.

"With the enemy approaching may I move that we continue the meeting later at another location and that this meeting should also be the deadline for all of your responses. Responses of whether or not you will join the Alliance aggainst these spacenoid agressors!" 

"Leave it to an OZ dog trying to get warm with the real powers again to blame spacenoids..." Henricks remarked to the Princess. But she was dwelling on another issue, "would Earth really go along with this "If you're not with us you're aggainst us!" policy? and if so, what did it mean for ORB?

On the other side of the room, a man in a black suit, who appeared to be from the Titans looked extatic as he spoke with Michel. This was a strike, not only against the spacenoids, but against the AEUG as well.

In the New Federation booth, talk was spreading of rejoining the Federation and officially having control over the oceans and improving conditions for their loyal soldiers.

But as all this took place, the mobile suits out side were preparing for combat. The first official ground battle seemed unavoidable.

The doors to the conference hall were suddenly flung open as a single person entered the hall.

"What? Leaving so soon? Will you really let those Neanderthals push you around like this?" asked the man who had just entered in a booming voice that required no microphone to be heard in the hall, which had suddenly grown deathly silent. Dressed in what looked like a cross between the garb of a Romanian Vampire hunter and an American Pimp, he slowly walked over and sat down next to Camilla. He relished in the fact that all eyes were on him as he continued.

"What happened to that rage, that invincible confidence you just expressed about purging our fair world of those unsightly parasites? Was it all just an act? Now that they have brought the fight to you, while each of your militaries engages the fiends, you choose the hypocritical response and run away with your tails between your legs like a bunch of dogs who were just beaten by their MASTER!??

Now, leaning back on the hind legs of his chair and resting his feet on the top edge of the booth, he emitted an aura of relaxation and calm that was a stark opposite to the feelings he read on the faces of the politicians.

?If that?s the case, then I believe Princess Camilla has the correct idea, considering how ineffective the bonds of hollow governments are. You all want to put up a large front in hopes of scaring off the opponents, but in reality all you are doing is making each other weaker! YOU KNOW IT, I KNOW IT, AND YOU CAN BE SURE THEY KNOW IT TOO! ?

?As it just so happens, I brought some reinforcements with me to ensure that this meeting may continue to run smoothly. I, for one, do not like the idea of pleasing those who believe they can predict every action of the people of Earth. Why send those bastards home happy?! Since I can assure you that there will be no more interruptions, I believe that our dear Princess Camilla has a few things to say.?
